Abstrakt
Over decades there was a significant gap in the universal system of intellectual propertyprotection concerning the audiovisual performances. On 24 June 2012 the Beijing Treaty on the protection of audiovisual performances was adopted. Considering that it is expected to enter into force in 2020, the paper makes an attempt to review the standards of protection for performers under this international agreement, as well as to evaluate the changes resultingfrom its entry into force for the legal order of the Republic of Poland.
