Abstract

On September 11th to 15th  2018, the 72-session Société Internationale Fernand de Visscher pour Histoire des Droits de l?Antiquité (SIHDA) took place at the Jagiellonian University, Faculty of Law and Administration in Krakow (Poland): https://www.law.uj.edu.pl/users/kprz/index.php/sihda-krakow-2018, under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda. The main theme was the Latin slogan (a kind of motto of the conference) - otherwise the motto of the Jagiellonian University since 1964 - Plus ratio quam vis (Reason before strength. Participans of the conference came from very different countries: countries of Western Europe, United States of the America, South America, China and Japan. About 132 papers had been presented. Next meeting of the scholars of laws in the times of the Antiquity will have place in Edinburgh (September 2019).
